York College senior starting pitcher Andy Rosenzweig earned the Capital Athletic Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week award as announced by the CAC office on Monday afternoon. Rosenzweig shared the weekly award with St. Mary's sophomore Devon Jerrard.
Rosenzweig earned the award after tossing six shutout innings in the Spartans' 2-0 win over Wesley. It was the Wolverines' first loss of the year while the Spartans snapped a seven game losing skid. Rosenzweig was brilliant as he scattered five hits, struck out three and walked just one as he improves to 2-1 overall.
For the season, Rosenzweig owns a 0.50 ERA in his team-high 18 innings of work. He has struck out 11 and walked just two as opponents are hitting .271 against him.
