Stanley Named Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week

YORK, Pa. - York College junior first baseman CT Stanley (Timonium, Md./Calvert Hall College) has been named Spartan Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending May 2, 2010.

During the week, Stanley helped lead the Spartans on both the offense and defensive ends of the ball. From an offensive production standpoint, Stanley was 9-18 on the week, while scoring 8 runs, hitting a round-tripper, and driving in seven.

Stanley also took in four walks for the week, while boasting a team best .600 On Base Percentage. The Timonium product also showed off his glove by tying for the teams lead in putouts with 37 and giving 1 assist.

The junior's biggest game of the week came in the second of two games against Piedmont, where he went 3-4, with a homerun, 3 runs, and 3 RBI's.

The Green and White wrap up the regular season with a pair of home games against Ferrum College, out of Ferrum, Va. The Spartans look to build on their 10-game win streak, and improve their chances for an NCAA Regional slot.
