Tommy Moran enters his second year as an improved pitcher for the Spartans. Moran saw limited time as a freshman, throwing just 9.1 innings in 2009. Moran has matured since last season and could be a significant go-to guy in the 2010 season when called from the bullpen. Moran uses his fastball as well as a breaking ball that enables him to challenge opponents and get strikeouts. He did record 12 punchouts in his limited innings on the hill. Moran is a business administration major and is the son of Barry and Mary Jane Moran.
