YORK, PA - York sophomore 1B C.T. STANLEY (Timonium, Md./Calvert Hall College) and Wesley sophomore second baseman Kevin Murphy were named the CAC Baseball Co-Players of the Week after leading their teams last week.
Stanley led York to a 5-0 week, including a three-game sweep vs. St. Mary’s, by hitting .462 with six runs scored, and seven RBI and two homers. He drew four walks and was hit by a pitch three times in compiling a .650 on-base percentage and a .923 slugging percentage. In Friday’s win over SMC, Stanley jacked his team-leading fifth homer of the season.
Murphy hit .400 with five runs, 10 RBI and provided several key game-winning hits for Wesley, which moved up to fourth place in the CAC. His three-run homer in the 14th inning helped WC top Haverford. He followed that with four hits and five RBI as the Wolverines handed Stevenson its first CAC loss of the season. Murphy also started a five-run rally in the sixth inning with an RBI hit as the Wolverines secured a split in the CAC DH vs. Stevenson with a 5-3 win.
