Tommy Moran is a right-handed pitcher with a solid fastball that will have an opportunity to make himself a factor in the Spartan plans this spring. In addition to his fastball, Moran also has a plus breaking ball that enables him to challenge opponents and get strikeouts. Moran will get the chance to fill a key set-up role in the Spartan pen this season. As a senior at West Islip, Moran was named All-League. He had previously earned honorable mention all-league accolades as a pitcher, a second baseman and a third baseman. Moran is a business administration major and is the son of Roger and Mary Jane Moran.
