Ryan Woods begins his initial collegiate season looking to push for playing time at first base. Woods is a very talented player that may have the opportunity to contribute to the program as
a freshman. As a defensive first baseman, Woods is very smooth with his footwork around the bag. At the plate, Woods is a gap hitter that will improve his power as he gets physically stronger. At Archbishop Spalding, Woods finished his career as the school’s all-time leader in career home runs (12) and triples (6). He was a .357 career hitter in two years of varsity action. Woods is a marketing major and is the son of Clarence and Sebrina Woods.
