Rob Klink returns to the Spartan lineup after a freshman year that saw him get extensive time at third base and shortstop. Klinck played in 37 games last year, earning a start in 33 of those contests. He hit .252 with 19 runs scored, 15 RBI, five doubles and a home run. He is a very steady player who will see most of his time at shortstop in 2009. Klinck brings knowledge and experience to the middle of the diamond as a seasoned sophomore. He will likely hit at the top of the Spartan lineup where he will get a number of quality opportunities to be a run producer for York. Klinck has steady hands, a good arm, and the ability to make the routine plays for the Spartans at short. Klink is the son of Bob and Laurie Klinck and is a secondary education-math major at YCP.
