Dustin Worthman starts his freshman year at York with high
expectations as the coaching staff is
excited about penciling his name into the starting lineup.
Worthman will battle for playing time at second base while he could
also get some at-bats as the Spartans’ designated hitter.
Worthman is an intelligent player with a great head for the game.
He is a driven player with great leadership qualities. At the
plate, Worthman is a spray hitter with lead-off skills. In the
field, Worthman is a smooth fielder with good hands and range. In
his high school career, Worthman was a 2008 All-Conference
selection and was the starting second baseman for the 2007 N.J.
state champions. He also holds the Seneca record for single season
stolen bases with 14. Worthman is an undeclared major and is the
son of Charlie and Linda Worthman.
