Damian Bertuzzi comes to the Spartan program from W.T. Clarke High School in Westbury, N.Y. Bertuzzi is a big, athletic pitcher that has continued to make the adjustment to the
collegiate game. He is a 6-4 right-hander with a solid fastball and good breaking stuff. Bertuzzi will continue to develop his mound presence and confidence as he works to be a factor in the Spartan plans. In high school, Bertuzzi’s W.T. Clarke squad advanced to the Nassau County Finals in both his junior and senior seasons. During the summer, Bertuzzi spent the last three years playing and pitching for the Long Island Tigers. Bertuzzi is a business administration major and is the son of Roger and Ethel Bertuzzi
