Chris Frankenfield enters his junior year as a key member of the Spartan bullpen. Frankenfield made 16 appearances, all out of the pen, in 2008. He tossed 25 innings with 13 strikeouts. He struggled a little bit with control as a sophomore but Frankenfield had an outstanding fall campaign. He has improved his mound presence and also has refined his change up to where it has become a plus pitch for the junior. The coaching staff is counting on a mature Frankenfield to be a mainstay in relief for York. Frankenfield is a business administration major and is the son of Mark and Sharon Frankenfield.
