Joe Doyle comes to the Spartan program from Red Lion High School. Doyle, who will play in the outfield in addition to pitching for York, is a strong, physical athlete. At the plate, Doyle is a good left-handed stick that has some pop in his bat. He is a very intense player that will continue to improve with coaching. On the mound, Doyle brings a football mentality to his pitching. He is a tough competitor that will have the opportunity to contribute to the bullpen. Doyle is a secondary education-biology major and is the son of Joseph and Arlene Doyle.
