YORK, PA – York College is proud to announce that sophomore women’s soccer player Jordan Snook has been named the Spartan Athlete of the Week for her performance in three games for the Spartans during the week of September 26 through October 2.
Snook, a respiratory care major from Stewartstown, PA and Kennard-Dale high School, led the Spartans to a pair of Capital Athletic Conference wins as the Spartans remain unbeaten in the conference.
Snook began the week by scoring the game’s lone goal in the Spartans’ 1-0 win at Hood on Wednesday. She fired in the game-winner in the 68th minute as the Green and White picked up their third conference win of the year.
She followed that with the game’s first goal in the Spartans’ 4-1 win over Wesley on Saturday. Snook’s tally came just 5:41 into the contest, giving York an early lead.
On Sunday, the Spartans stepped out of conference and Snook scored again as she tied the game at two on her fifth goal of the year in the 82nd minute against F&M.
For the season, Snook leads the Spartans in scoring with 11 points on five goals and one assist. She has two game winning goals and has scored her five goals on just 13 total shots.
