YORK, Pa. – Freshman men’s lacrosse player Tyler Hutson has been named the
Spartan Athlete of the Week after a standout performance on
Saturday, February 11, for the Green and White.
In the game, Hutson scored four goals and added one assist. His first career goal came with 5:40 left in the second period.
Hutson went onto to score two goals in the third and one in the fourth.
This was Hutson’s first career game with the Spartans and garnered a spot in the starting lineup.
Also, this was York’s first game of the season and home opener. With Hutson’s outstanding effort, the team beat Randolph-Macon by a score of 14-7. New head coach Brandon Childs captured his first career win with the Green and White.
After one game, Hutson has a shooting percentage of .400.
The next contest for the Spartans will be on Saturday, February 18, at Virginia Wesleyan at 1:00 pm.
